A giant watch party celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Adam and Joe Show, with Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish in person.
Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish are back together at Bristol Beacon on Saturday 5 December, marking the 30th anniversary of The Adam and Joe Show. It's a giant watch party, so the night is built around the show itself, with the two of them there in person to see it through.
If you've followed them, you know the show was built on the sort of low-budget, high-effort tinkering that's hard to find these days: the cut-up sketches, the voice-over work, and the general sense of two mates messing about with a video editor. This is a watch party, so the focus is on the material they made, rather than a stand-up set or a new show. Having them both in the room changes the whole thing, though — it's less like watching a DVD and more like sitting in on a viewing party with the people who actually put it together.

It's a big milestone, too. Thirty years since the show first went out, and they're marking it in Bristol, with the Beacon as the venue. The whole thing is set for Saturday 5 December, starting at 18:30. If you've spent years quoting the sketches or remembering the bits that didn't quite land, this is the chance to see it all back together in one go, with Adam and Joe there to witness it with you.
