A live orchestral performance of the Avatar The Last Airbender score, synchronised with a two-hour visual journey through the animated series.
Avatar The Last Airbender - In Concert comes to Beacon Hall on Sunday 18 October, part of the 20th Anniversary Tour presented by Senbla. It's a two-hour visual journey through fan-favourite moments from the animated series, projected onto a full-size cinema screen, with the original dialogue and sound effects left intact. The music, however, is played live by an orchestra, synchronised to the visuals as they run.
That score is the work of Emmy Award-winning composer Jeremy Zuckerman, and the orchestra brings the elemental world of Team Avatar to life with taiko drums, erhu, strings and clarinets. The show isn't just a straight run of the series, either; it adds new surprises and creative touches written specifically for the stage, so there's a bit more to it than just watching the show with a live band in the room.
