Grammy-nominated Australian indie rock singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett performs live at Beacon Hall, with support from Body Type.
Courtney Barnett plays Beacon Hall on Monday 19 October, with Body Type supporting. It's a standing night, 14+, and the show is presented by DHP at the Bristol Beacon's flagship venue: a restored auditorium across three levels that can be used in a seated or standing format.
Barnett is a Grammy-nominated Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne, often described as one of the past decade's bona fide indie rock heroes. Her fourth studio album, Creature of Habit (Fiction Records), came out after she moved from Australia to Los Angeles and closed her long-running label Milk! Records. She's spoken about that period as one of confusion, and she channelled it directly into the recording process; UNCUT called the result "deep, fresh breaths and sweet familiarity".
Live, she draws from across her acclaimed catalogue alongside new material, balancing dry wit and restless energy with moments of quiet reflection, turning everyday observations into something vivid and immediate. Body Type open the night.
