Stand-up comedy show by Lucy Beaumont, Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos, at Bristol Old Vic.
Lucy Beaumont brings her new show, Bad at Quiz Shows, Good with Weirdos, to the Bristol Old Vic on Tuesday 17 November. It's part of her second national tour, which runs from 23 September 2026 to 18 July 2027, following her sell-out debut The Trouble And Strife.
The title isn't just a bit of a joke. Beaumont builds the set around her real-life quiz-show disasters: she once cost a contestant £79,000 on The Wheel and forgot to revise for Mastermind. Those stories sit alongside her time on Taskmaster, The Great British Sewing Bee, Celebrity Traitors, and her award-winning sitcom. She also talks about how an ADHD diagnosis changed her life.
She describes the evening as one of chaotic brilliance, mayhem and beautifully surreal storytelling. The critics have been on board too: The Stage praised her devastating comic timing, Chortle called her a star, and The Guardian described her as endearing and utterly original.
