A 50th anniversary 4K screening of the cult classic featuring a live shadow cast and a Q&A with original stars Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell.
The Brighton Dome Concert Hall is hosting a stop of The Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th Anniversary Spectacular Tour on Friday, 17th April. It’s a milestone year for the cult classic, and the event is structured as more of an interactive experience than a simple screening. The night features the film remastered in 4K, but the unique part is the live 'Shadow Cast'—a group of performers who act out the movie in front of the screen while it plays. Before the film begins, there’s a Q&A session with three of the original stars: Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell. Having Brad, Magenta, and Columbia there in person provides a rare chance to hear behind-the-scenes stories from the 1975 production.

Participation is a big part of the culture surrounding this film, and this tour leans into that with a costume contest and an exhibition of original memorabilia and artefacts. If you’re planning on going, the organisers have specified that you shouldn't bring your own props like rice, confetti, or water pistols. To keep things simple, a 'prop bag' is included with every ticket, containing the items you'll need to join in during the screening. It’s a practical way to handle the traditional audience interaction without the usual mess or security issues at the door.
Logistically, the evening starts with doors opening at 18:45 and the show beginning at 19:30. Tickets for the Brighton date range from £29.50 to £59.50. For those who want a bit more time with the cast, there is a VIP Meet & Greet option for an additional £120, which includes a photo with the three original actors. The event has a minimum age recommendation of 12, making it a fairly accessible night for different generations of fans. Since Brighton is one of only 13 cities on this UK tour, it’s a straightforward opportunity to see the original cast together for the anniversary.
