The Odyssey comes to Brighton Little Theatre from 19 to 22 June 2027, Homer's epic tale brought to the stage as a story of courage, temptation and survival. It's the one we all know: the Trojan War is over, and Odysseus sets sail for home, only to find the gods have other plans. Over ten perilous years, he has to outwit terrifying monsters, resist the irresistible call of the Sirens and face the fury of vengeful gods.
The theatre describes it as thrilling, powerful and spectacular, and as timeless storytelling about adventure, family and the enduring pull of home. It's a long journey to fit into a few nights, so there's plenty of ground to cover.
If you can't make the first run, there's a second chance: the production also stages at Brighton Open Air Theatre from 7 to 10 July 2027. That's a different setting entirely, so you could even catch it twice and see how it changes from the indoor stage to the open air.
