A fresh take on J M Barrie's beloved classic, following a mischievous boy who refuses to grow up and crashes into the life of a headstrong girl, with adventure, magic and mayhem.
Peter Pan runs at Brighton Little Theatre from 12 to 19 December, a fresh take on J M Barrie's classic. The story follows a mischievous boy who refuses to grow up and, while chasing his runaway shadow, crash-lands into the life of a headstrong girl determined to become an adult. With a sprinkle of fairy dust they soar towards Neverland and collide with pirates, mermaids, magic and mayhem. It's a production that leans into the adventure and heart of the original, with unexpected twists and a handful of festive songs along the way, and it describes itself as a celebration of friendship, family and finding where you belong.
Behind the scenes, the show is directed by Joseph Bentley, with musical direction by Maria Dunn. The script is an adaptation of Barrie's work by Evan Placey, and the songs are by Viki Stone. It's a family-friendly production, so it works as a trip out with the kids as much as it does for anyone who grew up with the story.
