A two-hour creative workshop led by Alina Snepste where attendees learn to paint handmade watercolour cards, suitable for beginners.
Creative Feel Designs is running a watercolour card workshop at Starling Studio on Friday 31 July, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It's a two-hour session on a summer evening, and the whole thing is about painting your own handmade cards. It's set up as a relaxed, welcoming class, and it's open to complete beginners as well as people who just want to slow down from the everyday for a bit.
Over the two hours, you'll work through the basics of watercolour: mixing colours, controlling your brush, building loose floral shapes, and then adding the finer details that bring them to life. You don't need to bring anything with you—all the materials are provided—and there's no previous experience required. By the end of the night, you'll leave with a collection of your own hand-painted summer cards to keep or send on. The class sizes are kept intentionally small, so it stays a personal thing rather than a crowded room.
The workshop is led by Alina Snepste, a professional calligrapher and creative business mentor based on the South Coast. She describes her art as a mindful ritual that brings focus and peace, and that's the kind of energy she brings to the teaching too.
