A mindfulness and connection-focused outdoor experience in Preston Park, combining creativity, intergenerational connection, and nature-based exploration.
Wild Purpose and Wandering Emotions are teaming up for a Nature Wellbeing Community Walk through Preston Park on Saturday 22 August, from 10:45 to 12:00. It's a mindfulness and connection-focused walk, the kind of thing that's as much about the people you're with as the park itself.
The two organisers bring different things to the table. Wild Purpose works from their 'Symbiosis' approach, which is all about reciprocal sharing and meaningful conversation between people. Wandering Emotions handles the activities, focusing on mindfulness, sensory awareness, and nature through a mix of art and discovery. Together they've put together a morning that's built around intergenerational connection, creativity, and nature-based exploration.
It's not just a walk from A to B. The experience is structured as a space to reconnect with nature, share stories, and get to know a like-minded community, with pauses for creative exercises and reflection woven in throughout. The idea is to slow down and actually notice the surroundings rather than just passing through them.
