Interactive storytime with Father Christmas and an elf for children aged 2-8 in the Royal Pavilion, with a take-home gift and photo opportunity.
Father Christmas is taking over the Royal Pavilion this December, with Storytime with Father Christmas running from 5 to 24 December. It's set in the Red Drawing Room, and the whole thing is aimed at children aged 2 to 8.
Inside, Father Christmas reads a funny, interactive children's story, custom-written and illustrated for the occasion, with an elf on hand to help. The session lasts about 45 minutes, and every child gets a small take-home gift. There's also time for photos with Father Christmas afterwards, so you'll leave with a picture as well as the gift.
The organisers have run Christmas Grottos for several years and partnered with the Royal Pavilion to put this together. They describe it as part pantomime, part grotto, and full family-friendly fun. It's part of a wider Father Christmas at the Royal Pavilion experience, which also includes private five-minute audiences in the Adelaide Suite.
