A day of house and UK garage music in the garden of Brighton Electric Studio during the August bank holiday weekend.
SoLow Sounds is back at Brighton Electric Studio on Saturday 29 August, with the second edition of the series, SoLow Sounds 002, taking over the garden for the August bank holiday weekend. It's a daytime one, running from 13:00 to 21:00, so it sits well within the bank holiday window rather than stretching late into the night.
Musically, it's a day of house and UK garage. The two styles share a lot of common ground β the steady four-to-the-floor of house and the swung, syncopated shuffle of UKG β and they're both built for dancing, so the set should flow naturally between the two. It's the kind of music that works as well in the afternoon sun as it does in a dark room, and the garden setting suits it.
This is the second outing for the series. The first one was in January, and that sold out, so if you're planning to head down, it's worth getting your tickets sorted rather than leaving it to the day. The garden of Brighton Electric Studio is the spot, and the bank holiday weekend means you've got plenty of room to work around it.
