Shed Seven perform a stripped-back acoustic set and album signing at Resident record shop as part of a UK-wide instore tour.
Shed Seven are playing Resident Music on Saturday 9 January, as part of their UK-wide instore tour. It's a stripped-back affair: an acoustic set from Rick Witter and Paul Hanley, followed by a signing with the full band. The Brighton date is one stop on an 'Up Close & Intimate' run across the country, and the Resident room holds 180 fans.
The tour comes around their self-titled seventh studio album, out through Cooking Vinyl. The lead single is 'Stand Together', and the latest, 'The Centre Of My Everything', was written by Witter about the feeling of two people entwined as one. It's a new record from a band that's had a run of it lately: in 2024 they made UK chart history, scoring their first Number 1 album with A Matter Of Time and following it ten months later with another chart-topper, Liquid Gold. That puts them in the company of The Beatles, Elton John and David Bowie as artists to land two UK Number 1 albums in a single calendar year.
If you're still thinking about the older stuff, they're also taking audiences back to 1996 with a run of A Maximum High 30th Anniversary shows in October 2026, so this January date sits between the anniversary run and the new album tour. The instore format means you'll hear the new material in a small room rather than a big hall, and you'll get to meet the band afterwards.
