Acoustic set and album signing by Editors (Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Elliott Williams) at the music shop Resident Music.
Editors play Resident Music on Monday 16 November, an acoustic set and signing to mark their eighth studio record. It's a stripped-back afternoon: Tom Smith, Russell Leetch and Elliott Williams on stage, trading the usual wall of sound for something quieter. The date celebrates Surface, Echo & Sound, and copies of the album will be available to collect at the event.
Resident Music frames its instore and outstore bookings — live performances, signings, Q&As, talks and listening parties held either between the racks in the shop or at the city's grassroots venues — as intimate, personal and unique experiences that connect artists with their fanbases in much smaller spaces than they usually play. This one falls into that second category, held at the venue rather than in the shop.
The room holds around 180, and it's a standing show with a limited number of chairs, so if you're not keen on standing the whole time, it's worth getting in early. Under-14s can come in for free, subject to space. The set is followed by a signing, so you'll have a chance to meet the band after they've finished playing.
