Acoustic album launch show for The Big Moon's new record 'Forever' at Resident Music.
The Big Moon are playing Resident Music on Friday 30 October, an acoustic album launch for their new record Forever. The whole show is built around the new material, billed as the record heard live and acoustic, so you'll be hearing the songs stripped back rather than in their full electric form.
They're described as alt-pop's finest, and Forever is the latest addition to their discography. This being a launch show, the set is focused on the new songs, and the acoustic arrangement means you'll hear the songwriting and the vocals without the usual wall of sound around them. It's a good way to get a first proper listen to the record before it's out in the world.
There's a bit of a release-day thing going on here, too. If you pre-order the album, you can collect your copy at the door on the night it comes out, and those who buy the record with instore access get priority entry. It's a handy way to walk away with the physical copy in your hand the same evening you've heard it played live.

Resident Music is presenting this as an all-ages event, so it's one you can bring younger ones along to. The room holds 180, standing, with a limited number of chairs available if you'd rather sit. Doors open at 18:00, and the set runs from 18:30 to 20:00, so it's an early one that wraps up well before the night's gone. Standard tickets are £16.99 guide price.
