The 30th Anniversary UK tour of the dazzling musical, following three friends on a heartwarming road trip across Australia.
The Priscilla Queen Of The Desert musical is set to roll into Brighton this summer as part of its major 30th-anniversary tour across the UK and Ireland. If you’re familiar with the acclaimed 1994 film, the stage adaptation is known for bringing that same energy, colour, and heart to the theatre. The show is scheduled for a five-day run at the Theatre Royal, Brighton (New Road), starting on Tuesday, June 16th, and running until Saturday, June 20th, 2026.

The core of the story follows three friends—the drag queens Tick and Adam, and their transgender friend Bernadette—who embark on a journey across the Australian outback in their trusty bus, Priscilla. While the plot is described as a moving story of self-discovery and acceptance, the production is famous for its visual spectacle, featuring dazzling costumes, plenty of feathers, and a soundtrack packed with disco classics. The musical numbers include massive hits like 'It's Raining Men', 'Hot Stuff', 'I Will Survive', 'I Love The Nightlife', and 'Finally'. The cast for this tour includes Joe McFadden, Adele Anderson taking on the role of Bernadette, and Kevin Clifton playing Tick/Mitzi. If you are planning to attend, be aware that the show runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes, which includes a 15-minute interval, and it is recommended for audiences aged 15 and over.
There are plenty of opportunities to catch the show during its short run. The performance schedule includes both evening shows and matinees. The Tuesday and Friday performances are evening only, starting at 7:30 PM. On Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, you have the choice of a 2:30 PM matinee or the 7:30 PM evening slot. Regarding tickets, the pricing guide suggests entry starts around £15.00, though, as usual with touring shows, prices will vary depending on the specific day and seating location you choose. It looks like a high-energy piece of theatre confirmed for the city’s cultural calendar this June.
