Tall Stories' magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, aimed at children aged 3 and up.
The Gruffalo comes to Theatre Royal on Monday 16 November, with two more performances on Tuesday 17 November. It's Tall Stories' musical adaptation of the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and it's aimed at children aged three and up. The show has toured across Britain and around the world, so it's a well-travelled production.
The story follows Mouse, who sets out searching for hazelnuts and meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the high-spirited Snake along the way. All three are threatened by the terrifying Gruffalo, and Mouse has to find his way through the woods with that in mind. If you've read the book, you'll know the one.
The venue is Theatre Royal on New Road, a Grade II* listed building that's been entertaining audiences for more than 218 years, making it one of the oldest theatres in the country. The box office opens 90 minutes before each performance, and group bookings of ten or more can be made by phone.
