A lively pre-school disco session for children aged 2-5 years, featuring pop music, nursery rhymes and children's TV themes, presented by Deejave.
Deejave is running a pre-school disco for 2-5 year olds at the Church of Saint Michael on Wednesday 1 July, and if you've got a little one in that age bracket, it's a decent shout for a mid-week morning. The session runs from 10:00 to 11:00, so it's well within the pre-nap window.
The music is built around things the kids will actually recognise: pop songs, Spidey, Bluey, Disney, and what Deejave calls "ramped up Nursery rhymes" โ the usual classics but with a bit more energy behind them. Mixed in are hits from the parents' own youth, so it's not just the toddlers getting a look in; you'll be dancing along too.
It's a family thing, and the setup is simple. Each session lasts about 45 minutes, and while this one is at 10:00, there are other slots throughout the morning โ 11:00 to 11:45 and 12:00 to 12:45 โ so you can pick the one that fits your morning best. The venue is the Church of Saint Michael on Victoria Road, 8a Powis Road, BN1 3HJ, right in the heart of Brighton.

On the practical side, it's ยฃ5 for the child โ that's ยฃ3.90 plus a ยฃ1.10 booking fee โ and every child needs to be accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for them. If you've got a baby in arms, they get in for free. So, for a few pounds and an hour on a Wednesday morning, you and your little one can have a proper dance.
