A 90-minute interactive masterclass where guests learn about oyster history, provenance and species while tasting hot and cold preparations, with drinks and a goodie bag included.
Riddle & Finns are running an Oyster Opening Masterclass on Saturday 29 August, from 10:30 to 12:00. The venue is at 139 Kings Road Arches, and they've been serving seafood there for the last 20 years, so they're well-acquainted with the product. They describe themselves as connoisseurs when it comes to oysters, and this is the session where they share that knowledge.
It's a 90-minute interactive experience designed to turn you into an oyster aficionado. They'll walk you through the oyster's history and provenance, and the subtle differences between species, while you taste both hot and cold preparations. You'll get 19 oysters to work your way through, along with a Bloody Mary, a glass of English sparkling, and a glass of champagne.
Everyone leaves with a goodie bag, too. Inside you'll find a Riddle & Finns tote bag, an oyster knife, a bottle of House Tomato juice pickle, an Oyster Expert Apron, and an Oyster Masterclass Handbook. Between the tasting and the kit, you'll come away with enough to keep going at home.
