Exhibition bringing together 24 full costumes and seven character heads from seven seasons of The Masked Singer, showcasing the costume design and fabrication process.
Making the Masked Singer opens at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery on 24 October 2026 and runs until 6 June 2027. It's an exhibition that brings together 24 full costumes and seven character heads from seven seasons of The Masked Singer, the ITV show where celebrities sing in disguise and the panel tries to guess who's underneath. If you've watched it, you'll recognise a fair few: Hedgehog (Jason Manford), Fox (Denise van Outen), Tree (Teddy Sheringham), Badger (Ne-Yo), Mushroom (Charlotte Church), Pigeon (Katherine Ryan), Phoenix (Ricky Wilson), Pufferfish (Samantha Barks) and Dressed Crab (Gregory Porter) are all there. Newer characters like Moth, Conkers and Giant Joel join them, and there are character heads for Unicorn, Bush Baby, Snow Leopard, Fawn, Maypole and Monkey Business too.
The whole thing is produced by Bandicoot Scotland, part of Argonon, in collaboration with Plunge Creations. That's the Sussex-based design team who actually make the costumes, turning the show's ideas into wearable art while keeping the celebrities' identities secret. The exhibition is meant to take you beyond the on-screen novelty and into the making process itself, combining costume design, sculpture, engineering, prop-making and specialist fabrication. There are interactive, family-friendly activities to go with it, so it works as a day out with kids as well as for anyone who just likes seeing how things are put together.
