The 46th annual model railway exhibition by the Brighton Model Railway Club, featuring numerous model railway layouts across a wide range of scales and the historic Tram 53.
The Brighton Model Railway Club are back with their annual exhibition at Patcham Community Centre on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November. It's their 46th staging of the show, part of a run that's gone on for over 40 years, so it's a bit of a Brighton institution by now.
The main draw is the range of layouts on display. You'll find them across a wide variety of scales, from OO and OO9 through to HO, N, TT, O and 7mm, with several visiting societies joining in as well. If you're not a modeller yourself, it's still plenty to look at; if you are, it's a good chance to see how different people tackle the same hobby. One of the standout pieces is Tram 53, which preserves Brighton's last remaining tram car.
On the practical side, the club runs its own refreshments, which they describe as 'world famous'. The venue has level access and a lift between floors, so it's easy to get around. Parking is available in the adjacent streets, and bus routes 5, 5A and 52 pass near the centre, with Preston Park and London Road the nearest railway stations.

It runs 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday and 10:00 to 16:00 on Sunday. Entry is £6.00 for adults, £5.00 for seniors, £3.00 for children, and £15.00 for a family of two adults and two children; debit and credit cards are accepted.
