Judith Barrington Book Launch - Virginia's Apple

Judith Barrington is launching her new book at The Ledward Centre on Sunday 20 September, from 2.00 to 4.00pm. The book is Virginia's Apple, a collection of short memoirs, and the afternoon is built around her reading from it.

Barrington is a multi-award winning poet and memoirist, and she's usually based in Portland, Oregon, which is where she's made her adopted home. She's in Brighton for just one weekend, so this is a rare chance to hear her read in person rather than just reading the pages on your own. The session runs for two hours, and the focus is on the new collection, Virginia's Apple, so you'll get to hear the work as it was intended to be heard.

The Ledward Centre is at 14A Jubilee St, BN1 1GE, just off the seafront. Entry is free, though places are limited, so it's worth getting there a bit early if you want a seat. It runs from 2.00 to 4.00pm on Sunday 20 September.
