A cosy and creative afternoon workshop learning the basics of crochet, designed for social connection and celebrating friendship, including a complimentary drink.
If you’re looking for a low-key, creative way to celebrate friendship before Valentine’s Day hits, Creative Club Brighton has something planned that fits the bill perfectly. It’s called the Galentine’s Goddess Sip & Crochet, and it’s happening on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. They are setting up shop in the upstairs function room at The New Unity Pub on London Road (52-53 London Road, BN1 4JD). The whole idea is to create a relaxed, cosy afternoon—a 'Make & Meet' session designed specifically for slowing down, connecting, and celebrating your favourite girlies. It’s categorized as Arts and Culture, but the focus is definitely on the social aspect, inviting you to bring your friends along for a couple of hours of crafting and conversation.

The workshop itself is a guided session led by Sage and Sky, focusing on the basics of crochet. You don't need any prior experience; beginners are absolutely welcome. They make sure you have everything you need: all the necessary crochet materials are provided, plus you get a welcome drink—you can choose between a glass of Prosecco or a non-alcoholic Gin & Tonic. What makes this stand out is the generous take-home gift bag, which they say is valued at £30. It includes extra yarn and a hook so you can keep practicing at home. They are also throwing in exclusive discounts and free samples from local Brighton beauty services and products, adding a nice local touch to the afternoon.
Since this is a structured workshop, tickets are required, and prices start from £23.00. If you plan ahead, the Early Bird Ticket is £23, but that offer, along with the special 2-for-£40 deal, is only available until February 1st. After that, the Standard Ticket is £25. Just a practical note: if plans change, they offer refunds if you cancel at least 72 hours before the event starts. It sounds like a solid two hours of creative time and social connection right here in Brighton, organized by Creative Club Brighton.
