Outdoor holiday clubs for children aged 5-12, featuring activities like campfire cooking, Nerf games, circus skills, and nature treasure hunts.
With the Easter break approaching, The Outdoors Project is running their holiday clubs across Brighton & Hove again. For those looking for options that keep kids active and away from screens, these sessions are designed for primary school children aged 5 to 12. The programme focuses on outdoor play, aiming to build confidence through various themed activities that change daily. The clubs are scheduled to start on Monday, 30 March 2026, and continue into the following week, beginning again on Monday, 6 April 2026. Parents can choose to book individual days or commit to the full week depending on their needs.

The activities are structured around specific themes, which helps in knowing what to expect each day. For instance, the 'Campfire Cookout' session involves learning how to light fires safely, roasting marshmallows and hot cross buns, and making fudge. Another day, 'Easter Nerf Day', is set up for higher energy levels with capture-the-flag games and challenges. There is also a 'Circus Skills, Bubbles & Water Pistol Painting' day, which covers juggling and diabolo skills alongside creative tasks like making giant bubbles. The 'Big Wild Egg Day' serves as the main thematic event, featuring a nature-based treasure hunt and a mission to rescue giant chocolate eggs, with a visit from the Easter Bunny.
These clubs operate from 08:45 to 15:15 and are hosted at three locations in the area: Cottesmore St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, Lancing Prep at The Droveway, and Brunswick Primary School on Somerhill Road. The standard price for a session is £39.50. Since the programme is entirely outdoors, it is worth keeping in mind that the experience is built around a 'free-range' approach, encouraging children to engage with their environment directly. It is a straightforward setup for families who need childcare during the holidays and prefer an active, nature-focused environment for their children.
