Crafty Kids: Make A Keepsake Box!

Crafty Kids: Make A Keepsake Box! is at the Brighton Dome on Sunday 22 November, a morning and afternoon workshop for children aged 3 to 10. It's led by artist Laura Halliwell, and the whole session is built around kids working alongside a parent or carer, so you'll be right there with them as they make. All the materials are provided, which means you can just turn up and get stuck in without worrying about bringing your own kit.

The workshop is a companion to Rabbit & Rey and the Lost Things, the show by Stuff and Nonsense Theatre that's playing in the Dome Studio Theatre on the same day. The keepsake box you make is inspired by that performance, so if you're planning on seeing the show as well, the two fit together quite nicely. The group makes a treasure box to take home, and the whole thing is guided by Halliwell, so it's as much about the process as it is about what you end up with.

There are two 50-minute sessions to choose from: one at 11.15am and another at 2pm, with doors opening at 11am and 1.30pm respectively. It's a short, focused slot, which works well for younger children who might struggle with a longer workshop. The Dome is on Church Street, BN1 1UE, right in the heart of town.

Tickets are £10 for one adult and one child, and £8 for each extra child, with a maximum of two children per adult. If you're a Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival member, you save £2 on full-price tickets.
