Big Red Bath

Big Red Bath comes to the Brighton Dome on Sunday 14 March, with two performances that afternoon: one at 1pm and another at 3.30pm. It's a stage adaptation of the children's picture book by Julia Jarman and Adrian Reynolds, aimed at the 2-5 age group, though the production itself is listed as suitable for ages 3+.

The story starts with Ben and Bella in the bath at the end of a busy day. Then the bubbles burst and a frothy feast of animals jump in, turning bath time into an adventure around the world and back again. It's a collaboration between Full House Theatre and Half Moon, and it's returning after successful tours between 2013 and 2015, which included a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival. Critics have described it as a fun, energetic and delightful production.

The music is provided by Evergreen, an alternative indie-electro-pop trio that blends folk melodies, electro beats and vocal harmonies. After each performance, there's a book signing with author Julia Jarman, so you can get a copy of the original picture book signed for the little ones.

Tickets are £16.50 for adults, £12.50 for children and £48 for a family, and Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival members save £2 on full-price tickets. Both shows are in the Studio Theatre, with doors opening 45 minutes before each start time.
