The premise of the show is a bit different from standard magic acts. Instead of encouraging the audience to try and figure out how the tricks are done, Andrew Frost is asking the opposite. The idea is to simply experience the magic without the urge to analyse the mechanics behind it. He plans to use a combination of humour, surprises, and what he describes as general deceitfulness to keep the audience distracted. If those methods do not work, he has mentioned that he is not above embarrassing himself to keep the focus away from the technical side of the performance.
It is a straightforward setup for anyone interested in a bit of live entertainment during the festival. Tickets are priced at £13.00 for standard entry. Given the venue size and the nature of the show, it seems like a fairly intimate environment for a magic and comedy performance. Whether you are a regular at the Fringe or just looking for an evening out in the city, the show is running at the same time each evening, making it relatively easy to fit into a schedule if you are planning to be in the area.
