A gala dinner dance with a four-course meal, live swing and jazz from The Boogie Bumpers and a DJ.
The Boogie Bumpers are taking over the Bournemouth Pavilion Ballroom on Thursday 31 December for a New Year's Eve gala dinner dance. It's an over-18s night with a smart casual dress code, and the evening starts with a welcome drink followed by a four-course dinner, which is rounded off with coffee and petit fours.
The music comes from The Boogie Bumpers, a seven-piece jazz and swing band from the South of England. They're known for their energy and for recreating the sound of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, with a repertoire that mixes jump blues and swing. They draw on the sounds of Louis Prima, Louis Jordan and Frank Sinatra, and they describe their sets as having foot-tapping rhythms, soaring horns and smooth vocals that evoke the spirit of the era. Once the band has finished, a DJ takes over to keep the night going.

It's a long evening, so it helps to have the timings clear. Doors open at 6:30pm, and food is served at 7:30pm, so there's an hour to settle in with that welcome drink before the meal starts. Tickets are £86, but there's an early bird price of £81 if you book before 23:59 on 30 September 2026. Between the four-course dinner, the seven-piece band, and the DJ that follows, it's a full night's entertainment in one place.
