The UK's biggest daytime indie party for over 30s, a nostalgic celebration of classic indie music with DJs Old School Indie, Feeling Gloomy and Age Against The Machine.
An Afternoon of Indie comes to the O2 Academy Bournemouth on Saturday 5 December, a daytime party brought to the town by Club de Fromage. It's built for the over-30 crowd, with strict ID at the door and a 7pm finish, so you're home in time for dinner rather than stumbling out at midnight.
The DJs spin indie classics across the decades, taking in 70s punk, 80s new wave, 90s Britpop and early 2000s indie, with the odd Christmas tune thrown in. The line-up for the day is Club de Fromage, with DJs Old School Indie, Feeling Gloomy and Age Against The Machine. It's a broad run of ground, so you'll hear the early punk and new wave that set the scene as much as the Britpop and indie that followed.
Club de Fromage aren't new to this. They've played Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Latitude, Green Man, Standon and Camp Bestival, and they've stood on the main stage at Knebworth. BBC Radio 6 has named the party one of the UK's top indie sessions, and Time Out described it as 'a feast of floppy-fringed floor-fillers'.
