Early-morning yoga session led by The Manoj Collective in the Pre-Raphaelite Galleries, suitable for all levels, with advance booking required.
The Manoj Collective are leading a yoga session in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery on Sunday 8 November, starting at 9:00am. It runs for 45 minutes and takes place in the Pre-Raphaelite Galleries, which means you'll be practising among the paintings before the museum opens to the general public. You enter via the Gas Hall lift.
The session is led by The Manoj Collective, a Birmingham-based Hatha, Vinyasa, Breathwork and Yin Yoga teacher, sound practitioner and Ayurvedic therapist with over 700 hours of training and around seven years of experience across studios, festivals and corporate settings. The practice focuses on balance, strength and flexibility, with variations and modifications offered throughout to suit each participant. It's designed to awaken the body and centre the mind, and it's suitable for all levels, so you don't need any prior experience to join in.
Booking in advance is essential as spaces are limited, but you don't need to bring your own gear — mats are provided. After the session, there's a complimentary drink included in the Museum Tearooms. The collective also runs Soundbaths at the museum on selected Saturdays, so if you're into that side of things, it's worth keeping an eye on their other dates here.
