Four-piece 80s pop rock tribute band Vehicle perform live on the Joe Joe Jims stage as a warm-up for 2027.
Vehicle are playing Joe Joe Jims on Wednesday 30 December, a few days before New Year's Eve. They're a four-piece 80s pop rock tribute act from Redditch, Worcestershire, and they play a completely live set of anthemic 1980s pop rock. The show is billed as a warm-up for 2027, so it's a way to get the year started with a night of familiar songs rather than waiting for the midnight countdown.
Their set draws from a wide range of 80s pop rock, and the names they cover run the length of the decade. You'll hear Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Nik Kershaw, Cutting Crew, Don Henley, Pink Floyd, Prince, Dire Straits, Billy Idol and Kenny Loggins. It's a broad reach — synth-pop and new wave sitting alongside guitar-led rock and pop — so there's plenty to recognise regardless of which end of the 80s you prefer. The whole thing is played live, so it's a proper band on stage rather than a backing track.
