Astronomer and author Adrian West (VirtualAstro) takes audiences on a fast-paced adventure around the cosmos with 4K visuals and LED screens.
Adrian West brings The Night Sky Show: A Sky Full of Hope to The Alexandra on Sunday 17 January 2027, starting at 4:00pm. It's a new production from West, who also goes by VirtualAstro, and follows on from the success of his original show.
West is an astronomer and author who's written about space for the BBC, the Met Office and the National Trust, and more recently published The Secret World of Stargazing. The show has already sold out in other places, and it's built around 4K visuals, LED cinema screens and cinematic flythroughs that take you on a fast-paced trip across the cosmos. He blends the science with imagination, pop culture and storytelling, so it's as much about the narrative as the astronomy.
It doesn't just stick to the stars, either. The show travels back to the age of dinosaurs, looks at how life spreads through the universe and brings you face to face with alien worlds—from the International Space Station and nebulae to telescopes, our solar system and humanity's future among the stars. West describes it as anything but a lecture: a warm, funny and inspiring night that's meant to be a captivating one to remember.
