A high-energy dance extravaganza with a Las Vegas theme, featuring songs from famous entertainers.
The Legends Of Vegas: After Hours comes to Symphony Hall on Sunday 18 October, a cabaret and popular music show that takes the glitz of Las Vegas and brings it to Birmingham. It's billed as a high-energy dance extravaganza, and the whole thing is built around the city's most famous entertainers.
That Vegas backdrop is front and centre here: bright lights, swanky casinos, wild parties and showgirls. The music follows suit, with a soundtrack drawn from the songs of some of the biggest names the city has produced. It's a cabaret-style show, so it's as much about the performance and the atmosphere as it is about the music itself.
If you're not familiar with the format, cabaret usually means a mix of singing, dancing and a bit of stagecraft, all tied together by a central theme. Here, that theme is the Strip, and the songs are the ones you'd expect to hear coming out of a Vegas residency. It's a night that leans into the spectacle of the city's entertainment scene, with the showgirls and the bright lights setting the scene for the music.
