Over-18s electronic night hosted by Gingham DJs, a tribute to Daft Punk and Justice, at the Hare And Hounds in Kings Heath.
Televised Mind: Daft Punk vs Justice comes to Hare And Hounds Kings Heath on Friday 13 November, a night dedicated to two of the biggest names in French electronic music. The title sets the scene: it's a head-to-head of Daft Punk and Justice, the robot-helmeted duo from Paris and the distorted, disco-heavy sound of their successors. If you've spent any time with either, you know they share a lot of the same DNA — filtered house, heavy basslines, and a deep love for the dancefloor.
The night is hosted by Gingham DJs, who specialise in French House, Nu-Disco, Indietronica and Dance Punk. Their sets range across Alternative, Disco House, Electro and Nu Disco, so the Daft Punk and Justice focus fits right into the wheelhouse they usually work in. It's a night built around that particular French touch: the loop-heavy house that Daft Punk made famous and the crunchier, rock-influenced electro that Justice took further.

It's a late one, running from 22:30 through to 02:00, so it's more of a club night than a standard gig. The venue is Hare And Hounds Kings Heath, 106 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7JZ. One thing to keep in mind: entry is restricted to over-18s, and you'll need photo ID at the door, so make sure you've got yours on you before you head out. With the music going until the early hours, it's a night for when you're in the mood to stay out late and dance.
