All-age anime convention with cosplay, talent shows, quizzes, gaming tournaments and panels at Edgbaston Stadium.
Summer Birmingham Anime & Gaming Con 2027 takes over Edgbaston Stadium on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September, run by Animeleague. They describe it as the UK's most popular all-age anime event and the biggest anime convention, and it's built for anime fans, gamers, comic fans and cosplayers alike.
The weekend is built around meeting international voice actors and celebrities, with cosplay panels and workshops running alongside a Cosplay Masquerade, a Lip Sync Battle, a Talent Show, Anime Bingo and a Big Geek Quiz. Gaming runs on a parallel track: tournaments pit the latest titles against retro classics, and there are well over 100 board games and RPGs on the table, with TCG tournaments on offer too. Live bands, performers, after-parties and karaoke round out the programme.
