Halloween craft session for all ages at Alfred Works where mini makers make friendly ghosts from black card to decorate the children's area.
Alfred Works is running a craft session for kids this Sunday 25 October, called Spooky Mini Makers, where the whole point is to make your own ghost. It's part of their Halloween season, and the session runs from 10 am to 12 pm — two hours of making, so there's plenty of time to get stuck in without rushing.
The ghosts are made from black card, which you decorate with bright colours, googly eyes and other spooky-cute details. It's a simple enough starting point, so it works for all ages, and the focus is on the making rather than a finished product that has to look a certain way. If you've got little ones who love a bit of glue and a lot of glitter, this is exactly their kind of thing.
There's a bit more to it than just taking a ghost home, though. Every child's creation helps transform the Alfred Works children's area into a magical Halloween display that the space keeps throughout October, so what they make stays behind to be part of the decoration. It's a nice way for them to see their work on display rather than just tucked away in a drawer at home.
