A relaxing sound bath session using crystal bowls, gongs and singing bowls for relaxation and surrender, led by Manoj of the Manoj Collective.
Manoj Collective are back at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery on Saturday 24 October, one of their selected Saturday sessions. It's a sound bath that runs for over an hour, with crystal bowls, gongs and singing bowls doing the heavy lifting. The whole thing is set up as a monthly reset ritual in the sanctuary of the gallery, and it's open to adults of all experience levels, so you don't need to have done anything like this before to fit in.
Behind it is Manoj, a Birmingham-based yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, sound practitioner and ayurvedic therapist. He's spent several trips to India and more than 700 hours of teacher training, and he describes his work as bringing sacred teachings back to the West, sharing classes, workshops and sound experiences at festivals and studios across the country with an ethos of inclusion and accessibility. For the last eight years, his sound baths have leaned on crystal bowls, gongs and singing bowls to create a space for relaxation, rest and surrender.
