Relaxing sound bath led by The Manoj Collective using crystal bowls, gongs and chimes inside Joe Lycett's 'EVERY THING MUST GO' exhibition.
The Manoj Collective is hosting a soundbath at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery on Saturday 21 November, and it's set inside EVERY THING MUST GO, the first major solo exhibition by comedian Joe Lycett. Lycett's bright paintings fill the gallery from 29 July 2026 to 21 February 2027, so the session takes place right in the middle of the show.
Manoj is a Birmingham-based yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, sound practitioner and ayurvedic therapist. He draws on more than 700 hours of teacher training and several trips to India to bring sacred teachings back to the West, with an ethos of inclusion and accessibility. His soundbaths use crystal bowls, gongs and chimes to create a space for relaxation, rest and surrender. The session lasts one hour.
Lycett's exhibition is inspired by objects from Birmingham's city collection and gathers dozens of never-seen-before pieces — from deceased celebrities and extinct animals to discontinued chocolate bars and destroyed buildings — all presented in a tongue-in-cheek, childlike style. The bold salon-style hang turns the gallery into a 'neon graveyard' with a distinctly Brummie perspective on memory and cultural change, so you'll be lying back surrounded by those paintings while the soundbath runs.
