Beginner-friendly puppy yoga session with 20 minutes of gentle yoga followed by 30 minutes of interaction with breeder puppies.
Puppy yoga comes to Malacuna Birmingham on Saturday 24 October, with the session starting at 12:00 and running for 50 minutes. It's run by Paws & Breathe UK, a Birmingham-based company that's been doing these since 2022. They don't just do public classes, either — they also put on private, tailored experiences for birthdays, hen parties, team days and celebrations across the city and the surrounding areas.
The session is split into two halves: 20 minutes of gentle yoga, followed by 30 minutes of interaction with the puppies. The yoga is led by fully qualified instructors, each bringing their own style, and the whole thing is designed to be beginner-friendly, so you don't need any previous yoga experience to join in. The classes are planned around the puppies' comfort, and the organisers point out that the puppies are breeder pups breaking in before they find their forever homes.
There's a bit of a double win to the format, too. Paws & Breathe UK note that both yoga and time with puppies have been shown to reduce stress and improve mental health and well-being, and to lower blood pressure and cholesterol. It's as much about the puppies as it is about the yoga, and the two work together.

A few practical things to keep in mind: you can't bring your own pup, and a change of clothes is advised, as the puppies are still very young and may have the occasional accident. The session is at Malacuna Birmingham, 92-95 Livery Street, B3 1RJ, on Saturday 24 October at 12:00, with tickets from £30.00.
