Free-to-£4.50 polymer clay workshop for women aged 19 and over, led by a local Midlands artist as part of the 'Rise & Thrive' wellbeing series.
Sistermatic Change are running a polymer clay making workshop at Saint Ambrose Barlow RC Church on Friday 23 October, with doors open for registration from 6:00pm. The session lasts two and a half hours, and it's led by an up-and-coming local artist from the Midlands. You'll spend the evening working with polymer clay to make small pieces like keyrings, magnets and other keepsakes, which you then dry and take home to paint and decorate in your own time.
The workshop is part of Rise & Thrive, a series of ten wellbeing workshops funded by YNNS and run by Sistermatic Change. They set the whole thing up to support women from the Midlands and members of the Deaf community across the region, with the aim of giving people a chance to connect, boost their wellbeing and pick up new skills in a welcoming, inclusive setting. This clay session is one of those opportunities.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. The workshop is for ladies only, aged 19 and over, and tea and coffee are provided on the night. A British Sign Language interpreter is present throughout, so it's accessible for Deaf attendees as well. The venue is St Ambrose Barlow RC Church, 220 Lakey Lane, Hall Green, Birmingham, B28 8QU. Tickets range from free to £4.50, though they're currently listed as sold out.
