Halloween night out with the Oya DJs and artists, with a best-dressed costume prize.
Oya is taking over Sophy - Digbeth for a Halloween party on Saturday 31 October, and it's built around their own DJs and artists rather than a guest line-up. If you've been to an Oya night before, you'll know the drill: the music is the main thing, and the whole night is held together by the people who run it. This one falls on Halloween, so there's a bit more to it than a standard Saturday.
One of those additions is a best-dressed prize for the night's most convincing costume. It's a good excuse to actually put some effort into a fancy dress rather than just throwing on a cheap mask, especially if you're after the prize. The party kicks off on Saturday 31 October and runs right through the night into Sunday 1 November, so it's a proper late one.

On the practical side, you'll need to bring physical ID to get in, so don't rely on a photo on your phone. Entry is £8. The party starts at 9:00 AM on Saturday and goes until 4:00 AM on Sunday morning, so it's a long stretch that carries you well past midnight and into the early hours of the next day. If you're planning to stay for the whole thing, you'll want to keep that in mind.
