Live gig by Irish singer-songwriter Niall McCabe, known for The Niall McCabe Band and trad-fusion band Beoga, at Kitchen Garden Cafe.
Niall McCabe plays Kitchen Garden Cafe on Thursday 11 February, starting at 7:30 pm. He's an Irish singer-songwriter from Clare Island, Co. Mayo, and this is a solo show.
He first made a name for himself with his folk-soul group, The Niall McCabe Band, whose debut release was named Album of the Week on Radio One and got him on Irish television and radio. From there he lent his voice to the Irish trad-fusion band Beoga, touring Ireland, Europe and the USA and playing support for Ed Sheeran, Foy Vance and Johnny Swim. He's been working as a solo artist for a few years now: his debut Rituals came out in 2023, followed two years later by Stranger, which brought in strings, pedal steel and Americana textures.
2025 was a big year for him. He made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, toured Britain with the Transatlantic Sessions and appeared as an official showcase artist at AmericanaFest in Nashville. His 2026 release, The Heart Remember, was written on Clare Island and features harmony vocals from Sting and Foy Vance, instrumental work by Jerry Douglas and arrangements by John McCusker.
