Dave McCabe, former frontman of The Zutons, plays a solo show with special guest James Jay Lewis at The Kitchen Garden.
Dave McCabe plays The Kitchen Garden on Saturday 14 November, presented by the venue. Most of us know him as the voice and songwriter behind The Zutons, but this is a solo outing. He's stepped out on his own with a debut single, When You're Young, which has become a live favourite.
The set draws from across his writing career, so it's not just the new stuff. He'll be playing Zutons classics, songs he wrote for other artists, and glimpses of his new material, all in one night. It's a good way to hear where he's coming from and where he's heading, rather than just one or the other.
He's joined by James Jay Lewis, a Liverpool-born multi-instrumentalist who's worked with Cast and The La's and has been building a solo following of his own. He brings a classic, melodic British songwriting style to the bill, so there's two acts to catch in one evening.
