Trade show for self-build, extension and renovation projects with free one-on-one advice from architects, planners and home energy experts.
The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show returns to the NEC Campus in Birmingham from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 March 2027, taking over Halls 9, 10 and 11. It's a big one, and it's built for anyone in the middle of a self-build, an extension or a renovation project.
The main draw is the access to professional advice. You can get one-on-one guidance from architects, planners, interior designers and home energy experts, so if you've got a specific question about your build, you can put it to someone who actually knows the answers rather than guessing from a forum. Alongside that, there are innovative products on display, which is a good way to see what's new in materials and tech before you commit to buying.
It's a four-day run, so you've got a bit of leeway on when to go. Thursday through Saturday it's open 10am to 5pm, and Sunday is 10am to 4.30pm. If you're planning to spend a few hours there, pre-pay parking is available, which saves a bit of faff on the day.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Birmingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Entry is free for two people via the registration link, and children 16 and under go free, so it's an easy one to bring the family along if you're planning the project together. With the halls open across four days, you can pick the time that suits you best.
