Members-only afternoon tea with CBSO Music Director Kazuki Yamada, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra.
Kazuki Yamada is hosting a members' afternoon tea at the CBSO Centre on Wednesday 17 February 2027, starting at 4:30pm. It's one of the CBSO's members' events, which they describe as exclusive gatherings where members are greeted by staff, players, conductors and soloists. The idea is to give a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on before a performance, with time to meet other members and swap stories about the orchestra's past, present and future concerts.
Yamada is the Music Director leading the CBSO's 2026-27 season, so this is a chance to hear from him directly. The season itself is a broad one, bringing together major symphonic journeys, mesmerising soloists and conductors, new commissions, international touring and landmark moments. The repertoire runs from orchestral masterpieces and epic film scores to pop music, family favourites and bold cross-genre collaborations, so there's plenty of ground to cover if you're interested in how the season is coming together.
