Showcase event for women's side projects held at Griffiths Waite in Birmingham.
BUILT BY HER: Showcase your Side Quests comes to Griffiths Waite in Birmingham on Tuesday 27 October, starting at 18:00. It's a showcase for women's side projects, so the whole night is built around the things people work on in the gaps around their main jobs — the apps, the craft, the writing, the small businesses and the odd experiments that usually stay on a laptop or in a sketchbook. The title 'Side Quests' says it pretty well: these are the projects that run alongside the main story, the ones people do for the love of it rather than because they have to.
If you've got a side project of your own, this is the place to get it out of the drawer and in front of people. The format is a showcase, so the evening is about showing what you've been building and talking through it. It's a chance to see what other women in the city are working on when they're not on the clock, and to find a few people who are tinkering with similar things. If you're just coming to watch, you'll get a look at a fair few different projects in one go, rather than having to hunt them down one by one.

It's held at Griffiths Waite in Birmingham, so it's right in the city. The start time is 18:00, which makes it an easy one to drop into after work without having to clear your whole evening. If you've been working on something on the side and haven't really had a reason to show it to anyone, this is a good excuse to do exactly that.
