Mixology masterclass on the Old Fashioned, part of Birmingham Cocktail Weekend, for wristband holders at Chapter in Edgbaston.
Chapter is hosting an Old-Fashioned Masterclass on Thursday 22 October, from 6:30pm to 7:45pm, as part of Birmingham Cocktail Weekend. The session is built around one of the world's most iconic cocktails, and it's open exclusively to wristband holders, so you'll need to be part of the weekend's wider celebrations to get in.
The class is run by Chapter, an independent restaurant and bar in Edgbaston Village, and it's designed to take you through the secrets of the drink. You'll start with the classic Old Fashioned, then move on to different takes on it, seeing how swapping ingredients transforms the whole thing. Once you've got the hang of that, you'll put your new skills to the test by inventing your own flavour profile.
It's a good spot to pick up the basics of a drink that's a staple in almost every bar, and you'll leave with a few ideas for how to tweak it at home. The ticket includes a welcome drink and snacks to keep you going while you work.
