Beginner-friendly three-hour sewing workshop for adults with shared use of sewing machines, all materials and a guided project.
Let's Sew Girls is running a sewing workshop at Society Birmingham on Saturday 24 October, from 11:00 to 14:00. It's a three-hour session, with doors open from 10:50, and it's aimed at adults who want to get creative, meet new people and spend a different kind of day out in the city.
The whole thing is designed to be beginner-friendly. There's step-by-step guidance throughout and a supportive, social atmosphere, so it's as much about the company as the sewing. It's open to both complete beginners and those who already have some experience, and the organisers describe it as a relaxed, friendly environment where no one feels out of place.
Over the course of the three hours, you'll work through a guided project that you complete during the class. Sewing machines are shared, one between two people, and all the materials and equipment are provided. The organiser puts it simply: you just need to bring yourself, and everything else is sorted for you. It's for ages 18 and over.
