Four-week in-person yoga course led by Alice Whitfield to deepen practice, refine technique and build confidence on the mat.
Alice Whitfield is running an improvers yoga course at The Pilates Gym in Birmingham, starting Wednesday 21 October. It's a four-week run, so you're signing up for a series rather than a one-off: the sessions fall on 21 and 28 October, then 4 and 11 November, all from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. It's aimed at anyone who's already got the basics down and is ready to deepen their practice, refine their technique and build a bit more confidence on the mat.
Over the four weeks, the focus is on alignment, with the Sun Salutations broken down into the individual movements that make them up. The idea is to work within your own natural range of movement and find the variations that suit your body, rather than forcing yourself into a shape that doesn't quite fit. You'll get clear verbal guidance and demonstrations throughout, with optional hands-on assists if you want that extra bit of adjustment.
It's an in-person class, open to anyone aged 16 and over. The gym is at Becketts Farm, B47 6AJ, with free parking on site, so you don't have to worry about the usual Birmingham parking headache. Doors open at 1:20 pm, ten minutes before the first session kicks off.

The full four-week course costs £48, and there are no refunds, so it's worth making sure the dates work for you before you commit. If you've been practicing for a while and want to get a bit more precise with your movement, this is a good way to do it.
