Accredited workshop on managing mental health and wellbeing at work for managers and industrial engineers, delivered by Ideal for All.
I-Act is coming to St Michael's Church on Monday 26 October, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It's a four-hour workshop on managing and promoting positive mental health and wellbeing at work, delivered by Ideal for All as part of the ULO Training 26/27 collection. The session is designed for managers and industrial engineers, so it's aimed at people who spend their days overseeing teams or running the technical side of a business.
I-Act is an accredited programme, and they bill it as the UK's leading evidence-based, accredited mental health and wellbeing programme for understanding and managing mental health and wellbeing at work. The focus is on practical tools for dealing with stress, anxiety and low mood, and for building resilience. It's less about the theory and more about the things you can actually use when things get heavy at work.
If you're in a management role, you know the feeling: you're responsible for your team's output, but you're also the one they come to when they're struggling, and it's not always clear how to handle that side of the job. This is where the practical tools come in. The session covers how to spot the signs of stress, anxiety and low mood in yourself and your colleagues, and what to do about them. It's about having a way to talk about these things and a set of steps to follow, rather than just winging it.

The I-Act series also runs on other dates and at other venues across the region, so if this one doesn't fit your schedule, there are other options.
