Glassy 'n' Paint

Glassy 'n' Paint is coming to Secret Space Digbeth on Friday 18 December, a glass painting workshop in the heart of Birmingham's Digbeth district. It's a hands-on session where you spend the evening painting on glass, and you leave with whatever you've made.

If you've never tried painting on glass before, it's a bit different from working on canvas. The surface is smooth and non-absorbent, so the paint sits on top rather than soaking in, and you can work with transparency and layering in a way you can't on a flat board. It's the kind of thing that's easy to get into without needing any prior experience, so you don't need to be an artist to turn up and have a go.

Since it's a workshop, you'll be working through the process on the night, and you'll take home your finished piece when you're done. It's a good one to bring a friend along to, and with the date falling just before Christmas, it works as a way to spend an evening doing something creative rather than just the usual festive rounds.

The session starts at 19:00 at Secret Space Digbeth, and tickets start from £30.49.
